Advantages of Using an Electronic Hookah
Originating in India and very popular in the Middle East, a hookah, sometimes called a shisha, is a glass-based, single or multi-stemmed apparatus used for smoking tobacco. The smoke is cooled and filtered by passing through water, giving it a cool taste. Often, the smoke is flavoured with herbal molasses.
A hookah consists of several parts, one of which is the bowl. The bowl, also known as the hookah's head, is usually made out of clay or marble. Its purpose is to hold coal and tobacco. Traditionally, tobacco is loaded into the coal and covered with a piece of glass, metal screen, or aluminium foil. Lit coals then placed on top, heating the tobacco.
The disadvantage of this is that with all that smoke, coal is environmentally unfriendly. It also poses a risk since flying embers can cause burns or fires. In addition, preparing and heating the coals and clearing out the ashes in the bowl is a messy and time-consuming job. A better way is to use an electric hookah.
An electric hookah, as its name implies, uses electricity rather than coals to heat the bowl although you can still opt to put coal in the bowl. Because it does not use coal, this revolutionary instrument is environment friendly, safe, and convenient. However, its modernity does not sacrifice aesthetics. Notwithstanding the electric cord and the power switch, it looks like a contemporary hookah. Electric hookahs employ high-tech heat conduction technology and low voltage direct current power supply, which means it does not consume lots of electricity. So you can use it whenever you like without worrying about the electric bill. Electric hookahs are not yet mainstream in the market, but you can order them online.
